DR. CARY AMIEL G. VILLANUEVA

Amiel received his medical degree in 2017 from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine through the accelerated Integrated Liberal Arts and Medicine (INTARMED) program. Currently, he is specializing in internal medicine at the Philippine General Hospital where he is Assistant Chief Resident for Services at the Department of Medicine. He first met Universitas through the “Leading Leaders: Uniting the Nation in Virtue” seminar as a science scholar in Davao City. With the help of Universitas’ first CEO, he attended a seminar on medical ethics and natural law at the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, New Jersey in 2016. Amiel is the project manager of the Universitas Doctors Forum and is Director of the Research, Publication and New Media arm. An aspiring bioethicist, he enjoys #MedTwitter and learning about critical care and evidence-based medicine.
