Internship Program
Universitas is looking for young people who want to take part in its work of promoting principled leadership. From managing a project to running a non-profit institution, the program offers a wide range of opportunities to develop skills that are highly valued in the professional world.
This year’s summer program will run from June 14, 2021 to July 30, 2021.
Why be a Universitas Intern?
Professional Growth
Depending on the intern’s training and preference, the work may involve research and writing, project management, income generation, media and communications, and working with local partners. They will be supervised and mentored by the heads overseeing the tasks assigned to them.
Friendship
By working with students and professionals from different countries and from various fields of endeavor, the program also offers a culturally and socially enriching experience.
Personal Development
LThe interns will benefit from undergoing Back to the Basics, Universitas’ foundational course on nation building, and Principled Leadership Course, a two (2)-day lecture with workshops on The Self, The Leader, and The Nation.
What Kind of Work Experience Is Involved?
The interns can choose to pursue tracks in Project Management, Media and Marketing, Finance, or Operations. Their choice of track is subject to the approval of the internship head.
Application Requirements
Applicants are expected to be aware of the Foundation’s principles, and tendering an application means willingness to abide by such principles. They are also expected to be service-oriented, humble, and open to learning.
Interested applicants will have to submit:
(1) an online Application Form,
(2) curriculum vitae, and
(3) one (1) recommendation letter from a supervisor or a professor.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. The final acceptance emails will be delivered shortly after.

Timeline
– Deadline of submission of application requirements: June 10, 2021.
– Internship period: June 14 – July 30, 2021.
– Duration of the Internship program: A minimum of 280 hours, but depending on the needs of the applicant the program is open to extension.

Meet the Interns
Dianne Mortera
Dianne is an Intern under the Project Development & Management Team. She is an incoming 4th-year student at Far Eastern University – Manila, taking up a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (International Relations and Diplomacy Track). She joined various leadership programs such as the Markprof Bootcamp, and the Ayala Young Leaders Congress. She was also awarded as one of the Ten Outstanding Freshman Students in 2019 by her University. During her free time, she enjoys watching films, reading books, and traveling.
Lorenzo Nuel Sanchez
Nuel is an Intern under the Project Development & Management Team. He is taking up both Philosophy & Political Science with a minor in Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University and expects to graduate by 2023. In his spare time, he loves doing outdoor activities, practicing Mixed Martial Arts, and appreciating culture & art as well. After graduating, he aims to be able to work in Spain & around Europe and employ his interdisciplinary background in the academe, entrepreneurship, and technology and use his experience here to help improve the Philippines.
Ikhtaz Maya Polestico
Maya is an Intern under the Documentation, Support, and Logistics Team. She is currently pursuing a degree program in Bachelor of Science in Foreign Affairs at Silliman University. She gained and developed passion for leadership by participating in leadership programs or workshops and volunteering at school events. Aside from being a student leader, she also enjoys reading, traveling, and acquiring new skills. She regards the entire existence as an immense adventure and opportunity for discovering more about life by building relationships through service.
Nikki Toledo
Nikki is an Intern under the Documentation, Support, and Logistics Team. In 2017, she graduated from Colegio San Agustin-Makati. Currently, she is finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities at University of Asia and the Pacific. In most of her university life, she was an active member of a performance organization, Reverb Music Productions, and was part of the Executive Board in her last year. On Saturdays, she participates in the activities at Crestfield Formation Center, while joining serenades for the elderly. In her spare time, she likes listening to music, singing, and creating digital illustrations.
Daniele Maria Ripani
Daniele is an Intern under the Media, Marketing and Communications Team. He is 21 years old, from Italy. He is currently attending a bachelor’s program at Maastricht University (Maastricht, Netherlands) where he just finished his second year in International Business. He is going to graduate next year. He loves having a busy schedule. Therefore, whenever possible, he likes to attend conferences and extracurricular activities to improve his skills and get better at what he does. During his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, reading, and going for walks.
